Where to eat in Turks and Caicos

Most restaurants in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, are relatively pricey (this isn’t Mexico), and most feature American good (lots of burgers), with some seafood mixed in. You’ll also find a few Italian restaurants and Mexican restaurants, even a Japanese restaurant. Most restaurants are designed for tourists. You won’t find many places targeting locals, at least not in the tourist areas. On the positive side, most places have an excellent wine or cocktail menu, and nearly everywhere offers the local Turk’s Head beer.

Grocery stores in Providenciales

An excellent way to save money on food is by going to a grocery store. In the Grace Bay area, you’ll find the Graceway Gourmet, a medium-sized grocery store with everything you’ll need, including a great wine and alcohol selection, and some prepared foods. A great option whether you’re willing to cook a full meal at home, or simply buy prepared foods. It also has a pretty solid wine selection.

Between Turtle Cove and The Bight areas (walkable from both), you’ll find the Graceway IGA, a large grocery store with everything you could want.

Somewhere Café & Lounge

Somewhere Café & Lounge (The Bight area, along the beach at Penn’s Road), is a bar and restaurant that offers great Mexican appetizers (the conch ceviche and guacamole are must-haves), with a great selection of Tequila and wine (with Wednesday 1/2 priced wine bottles). Open-air, directly on the beach, with a lovely view from the (shared) upper floor.
